A graduate of the Gdańsk Ballet School and Warsaw Academy of Music, she has been an esteemed teacher at the former school for many years. She has also been working as a consultant judge of the classical dance technique cooperating with numerous important dance centres in Poland. She gained her professional experience during her studies in Argentina (CIOFF scholarship) and training in Spanish dance schools for example. Ms Jurczyk has been honoured by the President of the Republic of Poland and the Minister of Culture for her contribution to the development of artistic education in Poland. Since 2001, she has run the TTQ Dance School.
|She has been involved with the Song and Dance Ensemble of the University of Gdańsk “Jantar” as its choreographer since 2000.
In 2005, “Jantar” won the second prize in the international “Harmonie Festival” in Lindenholzhausen, Germany. In the same year, on the 35th anniversary of the group’s establishment, she was awarded the Medal of the University of Gdańsk accompanied by a congratulatory letter by His Magnificence Rector of the University of Gdańsk, Professor Andrzej Ceynowa, for her outstanding achievements as an instructor of the Song and Dance Ensemble “Jantar” in the development of student culture and cultivation of folk dance traditions.
Through her efforts devoted to the preparation of the group’s programme and training of its members, the Song and Dance Ensemble “Jantar” was positively appraised by the Artistic Committee and became a member of the Polish National Section of CIOFF (International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts).
